November 12, 2012: Meridian Construction recently completed an extensive renovation of Chateaugay Central School in Chateaugay, New York. The project, which included demolishing the school's old gymnasium, involved replacing the older space with a new 9,000 sf addition, comprising a larger gymnasium, new pre-Kindergarten classrooms, bathrooms, a mezzanine level for mechanical equipment, as well as a new hallway to adjoin the new addition with the existing school. November 5, 2012: Meridian Construction was the recipient of an Associated Builders & Contractors Award for Construction Excellence. The award, which was received for historical restorations performed on the New Hampshire State Library, was selected by an independent panel of judges and presented to Meridian at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. September 10, 2012: At a reception at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, Meridian Construction will be one of the recipients for Associated Builders & Contractor's annual Excellence in Construction Awards. (read more)
May 29, 2012: Meridian Construction started work on the second phase of the Waldron Towers exterior rehabilitation. The project, which encompasses six floors, involves the repair of damaged brick masonry. (read more)
April 13, 2012: Renovations have been completed to redesign injured Marine Chuck Donnelly's Merrimack home. More than a dozen contractors and service providers helped bring the project to a successful completion, including Meridian Construction, who provided Mr. Donnelly with a new kitchen, stairway, bathroom, among other customized additions. February 13, 2012: Meridian has started work on a project to help renovate the home of a Marine from Merrimack, NH, who was injured while serving his country in Afghanistan. The project, organized by Building Dreams for Marines, will involve remodeling the kitchen, half-bath, and full-bath of the home. (read more)
January 9, 2012: Meridian Construction is proud to announce the hiring of Eric Hastings, to serve as project manager/estimator for the Gilford-based firm. His years of experience include work as project manager/estimator at North Branch Construction in Concord and Bonnette, Page & Stone Corp. in Laconia, as well as work as project manager at Eckman Construction in Bedford. December 5, 2011: Work was finished recently to restore the historical exterior of the capitol building, which required a great deal of knowledge about its unique materials and care in handling their revitalization. Meridian Construction completed the renovations earlier this fall, including minor window repairs to the State House portico. (read more)
August 30, 2011: From August 8th through the 12th, forty Middle School girls from the Manchester and Nashua area traveled to Manchester Community College to participate in "Middle School Girls Construction Week." Meridian Construction is proud to have helped fund the event, providing building materials for those in attendance. (read more)
August 29, 2011: Meridian Construction has started work on the demolition and replacement of roofing on three buildings in Concord and Hillsborough. The first is the Hillsborough Armory, where an EPDM replacement is scheduled. (read more)
July 18, 2011: Meridian Construction will be focusing on repointing the exterior masonry of the NH State House, Legislative Office Building and Tax Revenue Building, doing some minor wood restorations to the State House portico, repainting and recaulking the windows at the Legislative Office Building, and minor window and repair work on the north face of the Tax Revenue Building. May 23, 2011: Meridian has started work on a new set of restorations, on the signature granite facade of the library, interior skylights, and a lot more. Due to the sensitive nature of restoring a cherished building of this kind, a lot of work has gone into analyzing existing conditions to properly determine the best construction methods to maintain the historical quality as it was originally intended. May 12, 2011: Honoring six construction projects that focused on locally cherished landmarks, Meridian Construction was among those who were honored. Completed in 2009, Meridian's project, which included renovations to over 100 windows of the New Hampshire State Library, was recognized for its exceptional quality and importance to the community.
