Projects Under Construction
Governor’s Island Club Clubhouse
Provided for the residents of Governor’s Island on Lake Winnipesaukee, DeStefano Architects and Meridian Construction worked jointly to help make plans for the homeowners’ clubhouse and surrounding amenities fall within the needed timeframe, budget and owners’ vision. Having broken ground just before spring, this project is progressing beautifully and well within the planned schedule. These photos, taken just after Memorial Day 2018, clearly show the new building taking shape precisely according to plan renderings also shown below.
Exeter Main Street Elementary School
We’re progressing ahead of schedule on a 14,000 sq. ft. addition and a 5,000 sq. ft. renovation to a fully occupied Exeter Main Street Elementary School while the school has been in session. The project design and plans were developed by architect Dan Bisson of Harriman Associates. During Phase I, Meridian had to work with limited space, busy students & teachers as well as unstable soil conditions. We’re now happy to report that phase 1 was completed in January 2018 and phase 2 starts in June and will be full steam ahead through summer 2018.
Tanglewood Shores Lake House
Architect Chris Williams designed this modified post and beam, 7000 sq. ft., cottage style home nestled on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. Shown here nearing structural completion, this project showcases some of Meridian’s fine craftsmanship in wood, stone, glass and other building materials.
Spaulding High School Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Upgrade
Meridian Construction installed a 100,000 sq. ft. retrofit of the sprinkler and fire alarm systems at Spaulding High School. Lavallee Brensinger were the architects of this aggressively scheduled project to help assure proper fire safety measures for the safety of students, faculty and staff. Meridian only had the summer vacation to complete the work. Despite difficult existing conditions we completed the project on time.
Third Training Skills Building
This is a relatively straight-forward commercial building project brought to us by the H. L. Turner Group. Shown here is the Second Training Skills Building, a 4,800 sq. ft. metal building. We are currently right on schedule constructing the Third Training Skills Building which is very similar to the Second.
